BLOC is a sculptural outdoor seating furniture made from concrete.
In the manufactory CONCRETO where the furniture is produced for VITEO, the material is intentionally given the freedom of shaping its randomly porous surface, which invites to touch it due to the interplay between its roughness and its velvety luminousness.
The basic element serves as foundation for synchronized, modular pieces which can be equipped for individual outdoor functions such as a facility for a barbecue or bonfire, an ice-bin, an umbrella stand, a torch holder, a plant pot and an ashtray or a waste bin.
The product line is supplemented by watercourse-stones and pads.
As some elements are produced in mirrored shapes, a long bench-sculpture can result from a serial assembly. Because of its robustness the product can be used both in private gardens and public areas.
