Joe Ingea Architecture & Industrial Design is a full-service architectural design firm that approaches projects with a contemporary sensibility and aims to create an architecture that endures.
Founded in 1996 by Joe Ingea, the firm has been involved with projects of different nature and scale, in residential and commercial sectors, both in Lebanon and abroad. Our work is characterized by a responsive approach to architecture whereby we create comfortable living and working spaces.
Biography
Born in Beirut in 1962, Joe Ingea received his degree in architecture from “Academie Libanaise des Beaux Arts” in 1985. He later left for Milan where he graduated in industrial design from Scuola Politectnica di Design di Milano in 1987.
During his nine years of living and working in Milan, he had the privilege to join prominent firms on the design scene among which were Caturegli & Formica, run by two former collaborates of famous designer Ettore Sottsass and Milan established Japanese designer Makio Hasuike.
During his Italian period, he has worked on various architectural and design projects including Esprit showrooms, “Computer Associates’ headquarters in Milan, Olivetti’s offices, MH way luggage, Pozzi-Ginori and Ariston appliances.
In 1994, he returned to Lebanon where he started his own practice in 1996.
Joe Ingea has won architectural and design competitions in Italy, Japan and Lebanon.
