About Us
wickham is group of artisans dedicated to the idea of creating extraordinary furniture using materials found "in our own back yard". Our work explores the language of local hardwoods using ingenuity, elbow grease and a keen modernist sensibility.
We source, mill and dry all of our wood, using only logs that we know have been ethically obtained. Our drying barn is stacked to the rafters with our inventory of over 10,000 board feet of natural-edge slabs. We enjoy collaborating with individuals and institutions, to meet the needs of specific projects. We are particularly interested in working on projects where sustainability is a priority.
We are located an hour north of New York City, in Beacon, NY, a cultural mini-mecca in New York’s Hudson River Valley. Clients are encouraged to visit our studio to hand-select the right material for each project.
