INTRO
Aqualux is a known and trusted commercial luminary company which typically specializes in landscape and outdoor lighting. Lamp One is Aqualux’s first foray into a direct to consumer offering, angled towards the outdoor living and dining experience. Importantly though, the design is still suitable for hospitality outdoor dining decors.
WHAT EMBER DID
Ember was charged with the task of developing a pre-existing concept. By designing from the inside out, Ember undertook hardware design including a circuit board layout, connector specifications, battery locating and fastening. The assembly method was considered to ensure predictable and high-quality output in scaled manufacture.
RESULT
The final design is feature packed with ambient light sensing, auto-on and off, usb-c fast charging, IP55 rating and multiple light intensity and timer settings. Lamp One is currently undergoing additional firmware updates and prototyping before an anticipate release into the wild in late 2018 via Aqualux.
