The client had a license to use Sesame Street, Nickelodeon and other brands only as 3D molded characters on sandwich boxes. We designed and developed over 10 of these boxes for the client. Painting the molded parts was very expensive with a high defect rate so during the process we develop a methodology to mold the background in 3D then use a heat transfer for the character. This allowed the company to sell at a higher margin and still stay within their licensing category.
