Challenge - The DSi-5 is a state-of-the-art Digital Imaging System used in CTI's clinics across the U.S. for the purposes of instantly capturing Ultra-High-Resolution 3D topographical maps of misshapen infants or child’s head.
Results - ATOM completed the full user research, Industrial Design, Engineering and manufacturing liaison of this next generation system. The entire effort focused on transforming the previous system which took 2 people 8 hours to assemble + 34 different fasteners into a streamlined hi-tech medical system solution that processed patients in a fraction of a time and led to much better user experience and controls. This new system alleviated the stress on both the infant / baby and the parents resulting in a higher quality and better patient outcomes.
