Daily price updating in supermarkets is one of the most repetitive and frustrating tasks, taking up a significant amount of time from other activities. That's why S5Tech's Electronic Shelf Labeling (ESL), a label system that allows price information to be updated remotely at the touch of a button, has been a revolution in the industry. Based on a specially developed complex mesh infrastructure, this system can handle hundreds of shops with thousands of labels and has made an otherwise laborious process immediate. In designing the different products that make up the ESL offering together with S5Tech, we pursued two objectives: simplify and customise. On the one hand, a sleek ABS shell contains all the components and allows them to be placed securely on the shelf; on the other hand, a simple PC glass, thanks to screen printing, allows for complete customisation of the appearance.
