First-time parents, Chad & Katie Zunker, struggled through sleepless nights trying to find a method to soothe their baby. The frustration continued until the couple heard about a rhythmic shushing technique believed to calm infants by emulating sounds in the womb.
This discovery proved to be helpful, but did not solve their problem. When the baby was especially upset, the shushing sound needed to be very loud to over power the crying. Additionally, soothing the baby often took an extended period of shushing, which further exhausted the already fatigued parents. Chad Zunker decided to develop a purpose-built shushing device that would help overcome these obstacles. In cooperation with Chad, we helped take the product from initial concept to manufacturer engagement.
