The Ikan system allows users to order groceries from the same place they manage their food—the kitchen. Designed to simplify grocery shopping by taking advantage of grocery stores’ online shopping and delivery services, the Ikan promises to save shoppers valuable time by scanning the bar code on a desired food item and wirelessly communicating the information to a “virtual shopping list,” which can be used to place an online order. SKD's approachable design presents this new technology in a way that is visually appealing and easy to use.
Ikan, currently in its testing phase, has established relationships with several independent grocery chains in the New York area.
