Born in 1975, Premjit Ramachandran is a graphic designer/filmmaker/musician based in Bangalore, India. Prem started 100hands in June, 2000 and has been working on experimental and commercial graphic design work since. The work on 100hands has earned him global recognition such as inclusion of 20 pages of art in a global book called PLACE which now resides in the Contemporary Centre of Culture, Barcelona.
In 2007, while in London he completed work on his first set of 11 songs for a worldmusic/fusion album called "If...a private machine". His music is currently being used for a short film in Hollywood called "Fu Cents".
His first film, "Look here, Kunigunda" was shot in the deserts of Dubai and explores themes such as loss, longing, self-realisation and solitude. The film is backed by the music of The Rachels, an underground modern-classical band from the US. He is currently working on a documentary about a legendary architect and is also writing a script for a feature film in Malayalam.
