EMPORIUM GARDEN - Branding and Environment

Client: Emporium Garden (Empório Jardim)

The Packaging Brands agency developed a new unit of the named best breakfast of the "marvelous city" of Rio de Janeiro. The Emporium Garden is now one of the most charming places of the city, home to the Instituto Moreira Salles, former home of Salles family, designed in 1948 by modernist architect Olavo Redig and Burle Marx, one of the greatest landscape painters of the last century.
In the garden made by Burle Marx the Emporium Garden was installed, with an outside area that values the central courtyard of the Rio modernist house along the lake and winding wall tile representing the washerwomen.
In the inner area that once housed a Bistro, we found the challenge to carry the atmosphere that the Emporium Garden has in its original space, to this new reduced space with an originally strong personality.
The result was to find a balance between the protagonist trace of the construction and the young and relaxed soul of the Emporium Garden, to work this environment almost in a scenographic way, allowing the harmonious coexistence between the spaces of the Institute
