Profoto is a world leading Swedish company specializing in advanced lighting solutions. There was demand for a new, portable flash package with the same high performance as the studio flashes, by wedding photographers and other photographers who also work outside the studio.
- The target groups are professional photographers who want to shoot "on location". No wires but high demands on the light to be able to take beautiful pictures.
The challenge was to bring down the weight and size. We needed to design a small lamp, a small generator and a compact remote control with digital features that control the light. In Close collaboration with the Profoto team the design work focused on the further development of Profoto's unique design language, highlighting the advanced technique and create a robust tool for the professional photographer.
The result was an award-winning flash package.
