Over a period of several weeks, we worked with Paoli Furniture's Industrial Design resources to assist in engineering the complex geometry required for their newest commercial office chair. After translating an artist's sketch into CAD, we ran numerous Finite Element Analyses (FEAs) in order to verify the structural integrity of the arm. Rapid prototypes were then produced in-house and painted for installation on the remainder of the prototype chair.
Vigorously adhering to a strict schedule, we took the design from thumbnail to fully functional prototype that made it through marketing approval and into manufacturing in the client's required time frame.
