When Jabra came to Karten Design, it was a one-product company looking to expand. We commercialized Jabra’s core technology into a family of communication headsets that helped the company’s revenue grow from $4m to $200m during our four-year partnership.
In designing Jabra’s iconic BT200, which has become the world’s best-selling Bluetooth mobile headset, we created a design language that came to define the Jabra brand. Its innovative design wraps behind the ear in an organically styled crescent. This wearing style provides a comfortable, secure fit for a wide variety of users. The BT200’s flexible, organic curves aided the quick adoption of Bluetooth headsets. We used this design language as a platform for nine other products that met customer needs with different price points and technological features.
