About Us
Dunes Design was founded by Cyan Godfrey, an award winning Industrial designer with over 15 years’ experience in product development. Cyan has expertise in designing products from initial sketch through to manufacture over a range of categories including housewares, medical devices and consumer electronics. Prior to founding Dunes, Cyan worked in both consulting and corporate design studios in London, Singapore, New York, and more recently Raleigh. Dunes Design is based in Chapel Hill, NC.
Cyan holds a BA (hons) degree in Industrial Design from Ravensbourne College of Design & Communication, and an MA in Design Studies from Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design in London.

Cyan is a client advocate who works closely with clients to build long term relationships. She maintains consistent open communication to clearly identify client needs, manage expectations, build trust and ensure positive results.
With an excellent mechanical aptitude and knowledge of materials, manufacturing and assembly processes; Cyan continues the design process through preliminary engineering in 3D CAD with a strong understanding of injection molding, pressure forming and sheet metal fabrication. Cyan likes to oversee projects through to production and works with engineers, vendors and the client to reach workable solutions while maintaining design intent.
