Desert Core is a desk pad designed for 'Corian®: 40 Years / 40 Designers' travelling exhibition participated by 40 designers from all over the world. It was organised by DuPont to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Corian® and to recognise the contribution of designers to the material’s evolution.
Taking the fullest advantage of hygienic, elegant and noble characteristics of the material, Desert Core lends deserved dignity to the manager offices. It also plays a psychological role on the user with the relaxing soft curves on its farther end which reminds of the isolated, placid atmosphere of the desert.
The product also distinguishes with its simple manufacturing process: thermoforming.
