Norlase Ophthalmic Lasers

Client: Norlase

219 Design has a long track record building cutting-edge GUIs for medical devices. When Norlase came to us with a vision for a revolutionary new laser photocoagulator (LEAF), we knew we could knock it out of the park. 219 Design was able to provide the cross-industry engineering knowledge and interdisciplinary expertise they needed to achieve their goal to create a breakthrough device that would disrupt the market.

219 design also helped Norlase with the LION. It is the first fully Integrated battery-powered LIO and green laser. The laser indirect ophthalmoscope parameter settings are fully operable through an intuitive next gen user interface on a sleek wireless tablet.
-Visited clinics and interviewing doctors to understand photocoagulator usage
-Designed the look-and-feel of the GUI, with feedback from Norlase and doctors.
-Developed all of the software to implement the GUI from start to finish.

"219 Design did an outstanding job on the one-of-a-kind wireless, voice activated, touch screen user interface for our laser photocoagulator. Their software development skills are among the best in the business. Our partnership is just getting started." Oliver Hvidt
